Honeybee and Nectarine
Honeybee and Nectarine is the fascinating educational adventure of a young honeybee and a flower. This story will familiarize both adults and children about the different roles of each bee within the hive. It shows how these creatures fare in an everyday environment as they forage for nectar from flower to flower. From the amazing bond of friendship and sisterhood in this case, to the determined fulfilment of duty for the survival of the hive, Honeybee and Nectarine is an intoxicating journey!

About The Author
Vearna is a Beekeeper, Independent Researcher, Beekeeping Mentor
Innovator, Poet, Writer and Author among other things…in the twin island state of Trinidad and Tobago.
Being a Beekeeper for the past (15) fifteen years, Vearna realized that there was the need for a better understanding among locals of the nature and role of honeybees in the environment.
To help bring about further awareness of the honeybees, she founded Bee Active Initiative Camp in 2017 where she joyfully taught young minds about the importance bees play in everyday life.
However, she found that the camp was not enough and was delighted to put some of her experience into the animated story of Honeybee and Nectarine. She also started an annual Honeybee run where she dresses as a honeybee and runs in specific areas for the further awareness of these creatures. (However, due to the present situation of the Covid 19 pandemic, these activities have been at a halt.)
She is currently working on Honeybee Botany in Trinidad and Tobago and Honeybee and Nectarine Part 2
