FETE AND BOOK LAUNCH

Keon Francis is a Cultural administrator, Playwright, Actor, Director, and writer, dedicated to the
unique culture and arts of Trinidad and Tobago for over 20 years. He has represented Trinidad and
Tobago as an actor at CARIFESTAs X and XIV in Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago respectively,
and has reprised a lead role in the country’s annual Kambule production, a fictional re-enactment
recounting the beginnings of Trinidad’s Carnival. He has written, directed and produced many “Best
Village” plays, as well as an award-winning local short film “My Sister’s Keeper”. He is an Alumni
of the Cropper Foundation Residential Workshop and completed an MFA in Creative Writing at the
University of the West Indies, St Augustine.
