Finally fulfilling her dream as a children’s book author, Shanta Seedan writes stories about Trinidad and Tobago’s culture using colourful and attractive illustrations.

Shanta aims to highlight the traditions of the Caribbean island that is loved dearly both locally and internationally.

She became inspired from her ten years as an Early Childhood Teacher and further pursued her education in Psychology. Through teaching she saw how connected and effective it was to teach children by bringing to life the island’s culture through storytelling.

She hopes books like these can encourage children to learn about cultures in the Caribbean.
